A) I plan on getting power. It will just take me a very long time. Therefore in the meantime I need options for my deck.
B) I have read every article on Long Death/Mean Death whatever whoever wishes to call it.
C) I am not asking if it is viable or not. YOu are correct if I planned on going to a tournament which no type 1 tourneys are played near me I would go copy Carl Winters Deck.
D) I like Dream Halls. It is amazingly broken. In case yo9u don't realize it Dream Halls is a Mana Maker to the fith level. Why pay 6 for a Bargain when you can discard a card?
I wonder what deck bulding concepts you think I am missing? Perhaps you are one of those people that think Lim Dul's Vault sucks too?
A: It's probably better to play a deck that is more easily budgetized if you don't have power: ex fish, FCG, etc, and for combo deck development pretend that you do have power. (aside from that if you REALLY want to play combo, budget dragon is a good possibility in certain metas, but storm combo on a budget is simply quite a difficult prospect)
B: Really?
C: If the deck/idea isn't viable it belongs in Casual/Newbie not Open Vintage.
D: Dream halls costs 4 and lets you discard a card and use the halls to put out a 6 cc card. Did anyone say "bad dark ritual'? And if you rector out halls rector and halls both costs the same cc and u may as well have rectored out baragain (if it's in your hand you can brainstorm it back, and planning for the time when u have bargain in hand and can rector out something but not cast the bargain of brainstorm it back and wasting a slot on crappy dream halls for this sepcific circumstance is just crappy deck building.)
I have nothing against vault. It's a good flexible card in dragon/TPS. My comment on your lack of deckbuilding concepts was referring mainly to the inclusion of rector and lack of diruption, as well as the style of storm combo you were trying to build budget. (also, fact or fiction doesn't really fit with storm combo also, except perhaps TPS as a whish drawer in the board)
