Vedalken Orrery and Spinal Embrace

Cards such as Spinal Embrace, Savage Beating, Cauldron Dance, and Necrologia are all instants that can normally only be played during a certain phase. Does Vedalken Orrery override these restrictions? I know when a card breaks a rule, the card wins, but both cards are breaking the same rule.

Also, is it the same for every card? Necrologia's restriction is different from Cauldron Dance's. What if it was a card that said something even more restrictive, like "before blockers are declared" (though I can't think of any)?

Vedalkan Orrery lets you play all spells as instants.

This does not override restrictions imposed on the cards themselves.  They still may only be played at the appropriate times.

It is just simple mathematics, just "add" and "substract" all the "restrictions".

Sorcery-speed is a restriction, but vedalken orrery removes this restriction, and turns it into instant speed. However, the vedalken orrery can only remove the "sorcery-speed" restriction, it cannot and will not remove any other restrictions put upon the card.
