Since untapping can make things happen that you probably don't want (random pinger killing an x/2) why not just say it can block as though it were untapped. A modified version of Masako the Humorless, it even costs the same.

If you were trying cut the cost down to 1W, Necrologia's suggestion might be let you do it.  At 2W, it should definitely be able to untap a pinger or a mana dude if that's what you want to do.

At 3 mana the untap isnt much of a problem and its simpler than the masako ability.
