So Ashlee Simpson went to do her performance and her band began playing the wrong song. So she ended up getting caught lip-syncing to her stuff. The best part was when she was caught, she just did this stupid little hop dance or something.

When asked for her take on lip-synching, Ashlee Simpson responded, "I'm totally against it and offended by it. I'm going out to let my real talent show, not to just stand there and dance around. Personally, I'd never lip-synch. It's just not me."

Apparently some cold/flu/throat thing was affecting her and she lip-synced.

It was the funniest moment on SNL. I was like 'OMG, she just lost her career!'
