Basically just looking for what the topic says.  I already now of SuprNova, but I'm looking for a good all-around site that will have both recent and past movies, with a good amount of seeders so they won't take forever to download

Anyone have any good ones?

Suprnova really is the best one.

TorrentBits is far and away the best one I've found in terms of selection and speed.  The only issue is that you have to register and you get booted if you dont keep a decent UL/DL ratio.

torrentspy will find you alot of torrents, though most of the top torrents on their lists are actually the same ones you'll find at Suprnova.

EDIT: also, elitetorrents.org is good, but has ratio rules and such.

Double Edit: Oh man, torrentbits has Matt's old Matt the Great avatar in a Santa suit.  <3

If you're looking for something a little more obscure than what's at Suprnova (even though they are clearly way, way ahead of the competition) you can always just google for torrent + w/e you're looking for Surprised

Oh the wonders of the intarweb...

Godot's right. Some...um...friend of mine has tried them all and TorrentBits is far superior to anything on the market, esp. combined with Azureus.

ATM, TorrentBits have reached their max of 100,000 clients but accounts are deleted every day so check back regularly. Keep in mind that of you're not active for 3 days or more, your account is terminated. Also, keeping your share rating up by d/l'ing pr0n is WICKED tech. You'll reach lightning speeds, yo. Just make sure you don't end up watching any of that shit Razz

Bram-

What's Azureus?  Is it just another program to download Torrents?  I've just always used NovaTorrent, because that's what the guy that introduced me to torrents told me to use, so I never really explored the alternatives.

And does that 3-day rule apply no matter how long you have been a member?  Like- say I sign up and keep a good download/upload ratio going for a month, then go on vacation for a weekend.  If I don't upload or download anything for three days I get booted regardless of my ratio?

Azureus is my favorite client.  The main draws is that it doesn't open up lots of little icons on your taskbar for your downloads and that you can prioritize individual files within a torrent.  This is wicked useful when you are downloading say, a TV show and you want to make sure that you get the earlier episodes first or if you want to download only a few selected files in a torrent.

Torrentstorm is also pretty good.

I'm wondering about the 3-day rule as well, since in general, I'm not at my studentroom for about 3 days a week Surprised

Yes. The reasoning being:
1. leave your PC on for uploads if you're on vacation
2. if you can't, you can sign up again.

They used to have an option where you could sort of block you account temporarily, but they removed that (or so I've heard).

Azureus is a cool client, among other things, coz it's easily customizable.  For example, you NEVER wanna use the default port since most ISP's squeeze those (those guys aren't as stupid as we tend to think). And because it has a frog for a logo.
