As a sideboard card, I've been testing with lose hope (target creature gets -1/-1 and you can scry 2) to deal with welder based decks and it seems to be working very well. It basically does the same thing as blue elemental blast except you get to look at the top 2 cards of your library and decide to keep them or not, an ability I think is particularly powerful in type 1. Of course this card is not fit for all sideboards since it is black, but let me know what you guys think.

It's not bad, but I'd rather be running Lava Dart, Fire/Ice or BEB.
They simply have more uses.

Assuming you HAVE to use a black card, yeah, I guess that Lose Hope is probably the best card for specifically dealing with Welder.
