Welcome to type 1! I would suugest checking out "nassifs eba" in the vintage open form as it is the same colours as your deck. Some critisms
1) Include a 4 Swords to plowshares because we are in a meta polluted with creatures.
2) I'd cut mana leak and add 4 counterspell as they are better in late game than mana leak
3) Cut annul in the board for coffin purge or snuff out
4) RUN YAWGMOTH'S WILL THIS IS AUTO INCLUDED IN ANY DECK RUNNING BLACK.
5) if you play in a 5 proxies tournament include black lotus

Good luck

i'd have to disagree with that. I do think HE should include it, and it is an amazing/br0ken card but calling yawgmoths will an auto include is a bit far. as of late many decks running black thrive off the graveyard. Dragon wouldnt use it, almost any deck running skeletal scrying wouldnt use it, back in the day i'd say yeah but i dont know if thats the case anymore. just mho.

You would include Yawgmoth's Will if recurring your graveyard is greatly advantageous. For example, Control Slaver can recur Moxen, Ancestral, Time Walk, Welders, Tinker, etc. Moxen add additional Slaver turns once you have a partial lock, while recurring the rest should be self-explanatory.

The reason that Dragon doesn't run it is because it really can't recur anything. Recurring Ancestral or Time Walk is the equivalent of Concentrate or Time Warp, neither of which see play.

As to Skeletal Scrying reducing the power of Yawgmoth's Will, I just don't see how Scrying has ever been a big issue. You can turn extra fetches in the graveyard, not to mention used Mana Drains or Forces into cards in hand, while still leaving a good graveyard to recur.

The logic of "it reduces my graveyard size, so you shouldn't run Will", when it is extrapolated, says that "you shouldn't run Yawgmoth's Will if you run Necro, because when you discard cards to Necro (because you always draw lots of cards), they are removed from the game, so your Will isn't as big.", which should obviously be bunk, given that decks that run Necro always run Will.

Deck advice that I can see:
1) Hinder is not a good card. Cut it from your sideboard. Preferably for a Coffin Purge.
2) 3 Swords main and the 4th side gives you the equivalent of 6 Swords instead of 4 Swords. There is no reason to put the 4th main.
3) Mana Leaks are generally better than Counterspells in type 1, because of the ability to counter a spell off a land and a Mox. Mana Drains are better, but if you don't have Drains, you can run Leaks.
4) Graveyard hate is very good to have. Coffin Purges in the side would be solid in this metagame, with all of the Welders running around.
5) Yawgmoth's Will is a must-include in this deck, I'd run one over the 3rd Angel.
6) Looking at Nassif's EBA build would probably not help, simply because Nassif's deck is a case of a good player with a mediocre deck beating mediocre players with good decks.
7) Library of Alexandria would be a good card to include, if you could run it. It wins control mirrors, simply put.

Psychatog got bigger off the yard, and it played Will simply because of how broken it is.  4CC or Keeper or Clinger or whatever used it because not only does it give you a boost, it can totally end your opponnents presence in the game.

Not to mention the obvious synergy between RFG-ing some amazing instant spell, then using Cunning Wish to fetch it again, then re-play it again via Y. Will.  I'll even go farther and say you can Wish for it yet again after using it under Y. Will.

Some decks with black don't run it because the game should be over by the time it would be any help.  Put it this way, anything that can make Sui win must be too good to be true, and that's what Yawgmoth's Will does.  This makes for a need to at least consider it in EVERY deck that runs black.

Check out this thread from my 3 1/2 cc from a tournament last week:

http://www.themanadrain.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=21069

It is quite similar to yours, only a little more streamlined... Good luck.
