I've felt the urge lately to flex my creative muscle, but I haven't really been up to doing anything with my work in progress. I've been considering writing some short, Magic-related fiction for TMD, but obviously, there's a lot of ground to be covered there. Therefore, I'd like to know what TMD would like to read. I'll probably offer more selections or be more general for future stories, but for the time being, you have a choice of three cards that will be the centerpiece of my first submission.

Cloud sprite would be my vote.

I know that any berserk murdolant stories and its awesomeness would be appreciated though.

Don't write about Magic, Magic is stupid. Write about love and death in the city of creams.

EDIT: that was supposed to be "city of dreams" but that typo is hilarious.

I think you severely overestimate my writing ability, Matt. The Hidden Stag, for example, provides the foundation of a story -- I know what it is, I know something of its habits, I know something of its nature. Love and death in the city of dreams? Might as well ask me to write about War and Peace during the Napoleonic wars.

I kinda like Eph's approach. It has a 'write what you know'  quality to it and an assured audience. I realise the drawbacks and inevitable criticism, but go for it, dude! Cloud Sprites all the way.

You guys do realize that I don't do H fiction, right. If you're looking for hawt sprite on scroll action, you're not going to get it from me.

So much for the city of creams, then.  Sad

I'm afraid you asked at the wrong forum Eph. Unless of course the tale of the City of Creams and the Scroll-on-Faerie action is something you might want to consider. Smile

Not too much support for Runesword, it'd seem.

Maybe it's too generic for some, but I think it'd be the best of the three.

That would imply that he's willing to write regular erotica, which isn't the case. I'm guessing it stands for Hentai or something, because the fanfiction community is probably wierd like that. :p

H is, in fact, the first letter of the word Hentai, the Japanese word for erotica (more correctly, perverted erotica, I think). There is a subtle difference between H and Hentai material, though. H, pronounced "ecchi" in Japanese, denotes "naughty" material. Fiction with an erotic theme or with softcore pornographic material would be considered H. Fiction with overt sexual themes would be considered Hentai. Since hawt sprite on scroll action would be no more explicit than a masturbatory scene, it would probably not exceed the limits of what is considered H.

Anyhow, I bought some new writing tablets tonight and I don't have any classes on Thursday, so I should be able to start the story presently. Cloud Sprite seems to be like a clear winner this time. I might write the other two pieces at some point in the future, but for now, Cloud Sprite it is!

Haha I could have said what Eph said in 1 line...or I could have used pictures which would have been more fun.

Anyhoo, I'm going to deviate from all the other suggestions of Cloud Sprites and nominate a legendary character which never appeared in any of the novels. My suggestion would be either Reya Dawnbringer or Ihsan's Shade (well he was involved in the storyline, but it was not developed at all other than "he went bad and did bad things for Baron Sengir").

I tried finding someone else other than those 2 but since I've read a gazillion magic novels, as well as done quite a bit of digging online in regards to magic story stuff, I just couldn't find anyone else who wasn't involved that would be worth it. All that's left are the Unglued/Unhinged legends, the Portal 3 Kingdom legends, and tons of generic Samurai/Spirit/Ninja legends from the new sets.
