Searing Strike
{R}{R}
Enchant Creature
You may play Searing Strike any time you could play an instant.
Searing Strike can only enchant a creature that was dealt damage this turn.
At the beginning of each player's upkeep, Searing Strike deals two damage to the enchanted creature.
The wound was only superficial, until it burst into flames.

Red gets inefficient creature removal?  YES!

CURRENT WORDING:

Searing Strike
RR
Instant
Until end of turn, whenever damage is dealt to a creature target opponent controls, increase the damage by 1.
The wound was only superficial, until it burst into flames.

This should not be worded "~this~ can only enchant a creature dealt dmg this turn", as it falls off at the upkeep of next turn. Maybe only check the condition when it comes into play?

Also, this would be really bad removal. 2 dmg a turn does nothing to a creature that can survive the initial damage.

This would be cool as "Until end of turn, whenever damage is dealt to a creature target opponent controls, increase the damage by 1".

To avoid what Charlie has pointed out, simply change it to "At end of turn, if enchanted creature has been dealt no damage, destroy -this.-"  In this way it satisfies its own criteria for enchanting a creature without the upkeep clause interfering.

I changed it to Matt's wording.
