Instant - 2R
Until end of turn, other players can't play cards from their graveyards, and you may play cards from other players' graveyards as though they were in your graveyard.

I mean, it's the same cost as Y. Will, and would work great for mirror decks. Couldn't you also play it in response to someone else casting Y. Will? It's not restricted either, so playing with mulitple copies would be really good right? Just up for ideas on it.

If it said you could play cards in your opponent's graveyard as though they were in your hand rather than in your graveyard, it wouldn't be complete garbage Wink,

This was printed in Judgment, in the block with flashback spells - which is basically all you could play off a Shaman's Trance, if I understand the card correctly. Unless it's in the same turn as a resolved Will, of course. Or, I guess if you had a Crucible of Worlds and wanted to play lands in their graveyard, or another card that specifically pertains to graveyard manipulation.

so would that mean that you can't play non-flashback cards? or does it work like a Will? If not, then I totally misunderstood the card and this thread should be locked, LoL, and if that's the case, I feel 10 points dumber.

If, by "work like a Will", you mean let you do something like this:

Opponent: has Ancestral Recall in their graveyard
Me: play Shaman's Trance, pay U to cast their Ancestral Recall

I'm pretty sure that wouldn't work, because you couldn't cast the AR if it were in your graveyard either (again, unless you had another card that let you cast spells in your graveyard, like casting your own Will, or Regrowth/Eternal Witness/Nostalgic Dreams, or whatever). Is that what you meant?

I think what it does is basically this situation:

Opponent has a Deep Analysis in their Graveyard

You cast Shaman's Trance. Flashback their Deep Analysis.
