THE NEXT TOURNAMENT WILL BE A SPECIAL BONUS FORMAT!!!
There are no restrictions on deck construction, it is entirely optional whether or not to use these bonuses. However, if you want to win, I'd recommend going for at least one. And it's no fun if you don't  Very Happy .

*Your deck gets the highest pre-bonus score - 1 pt per person you played against
*Find a good use for Ancestral Recall (the deck must actually benefit from casting this spell) - 25 pts
*Find a good use for Upwelling (the deck must actually benefit from casting this spell) - 20pts
*Use two cards from the same set (Mirrodin/Odyessy/Onslaught etc basic lands don't count) - 8 pts (+5pts extra if that set is legions or homelands)
*The first letter of your three cards is the same as the first three letters of your screen name, or the last letter of your three cards is the same as the last three letters of your screen name, (no dummy accounts) (Those with a "Q" or "X" or "Z" in their first three letters or those who don't have three letters may substitute an "S" or "T") - 12 pts
*Most number of letters in the cards used among entries (i.e. Fog, Fog, Taiga would NOT win this) - 12 pts
*Least number of letters in the cards used among entries (i.e. Fog, Fog, Taiga would win this) - 12 pts
*Most different letters used in your entry - 12pts
*A deck with 3 different coloured mana symbols on the spells in it - 10pts
*A deck with a number contained in the card name of one of the spells (e.g. bONE shredder) - 7pts per number

*Your deck completes two or more of the goals on this list (does not count towards "Three/Four or more goals") - 15 pts
*Your deck completes three or more of the goals on this list (does not count towards "Four or more goals")- 5 pts
*Your deck completes four or more of the goals on this list - 20 pts
(To make it more interesting, these are not cumulative - you can't win more than one of these bonuses. I'd recommend getting 2 or 4 bonuses Smile )

*Your deck completes none of the goals on this list - (-10)pts

What is 3cb?

3-Card Blind (3CB) is a very unique game. The rules are as follows

Your deck is composed of 3 cards, all of which start in your hand.
You have no library (technically, the library exists, but starts at 0 cards) and no sideboard (Wishes fetch nothing).
Random effects always go in your opponent's favour.
You can see your opponent's hand, so you can always make the best possible play.
You don't lose as a result of not being able to draw a card.
You will play each opponent twice, once going first, once going second.
For each win, you score 3.
For each draw, you score 1.
For each lose, you get nothing.
Other than the aforementioned, EVERYTHING IS HANDLED EXACTLY LIKE A REAL GAME OF MAGIC!

To make an entry, PM your deck to wonkey_donkey in the following format:

Subject: 3cb Tournament #50 Entry or 3cb Tournament#50 Revision
Deck Name
Card #1
Card #2
Card #3

Optional Deck discussion, random sucking up, etc.
(EDIT): If you could point out which bonuses you think you're going for, it'd be much appreciated. Have just been given an entry with all the letter breakdowns etc and it just makes my job so much quicker and easier!

I'll close entries after 2 weeks. Get your entries in by 3rd February and I'll calculate. As I said, the banned list may change within 48 hours of this post going up. After that, it stays as it is. This is not a reason to withold your decks, though - this is not a particuarly serious format! If something's broke, please fix it whilst we can!

Well, bonus format time, methinks. I hope these work out. Some of them have been based from goblinboy's bonus format (*nods to goblinboy*, hoping he doesn't mind). I hope there's some interest in this, as the bonus scores will prove to be horribly misjudged if the tournament's small.

Results up for #49 whenever combo_dude's got them ready.

I'm going to have to prolong the time for entries, as I don't want second decks entered this time around. I've got 7 entries, and need more to make a tournament of it. Results will go up when I feel we've got enough entries (possibly 10, possibly 15) or one week late, whichever happens first.
