[Results] FC Goblins win Liga Catalana tournament no. 2

This weekend the second tournament was played in the Liga Catalana of Vintage.
66 players attended. 7 rounds followed by T8. Mox Ruby for the winner.

The hero of the tournament was David Morales who mulliganed to THREE going second in the semifinals. He kept an awesome three: Wasteland, Sol Ring, Crucible. He topdecked City of Traitors and landed first turn Crucible. Opponent was in a wasteland lock and when Morales later added his "Morales supertech" Null Rod, he actually managed to win the game by Mana Crypt damage and advance to the finals where FCJ did him in 2-1.

I know Ultima does this too, but can someone explain to me why intution slaver builds can afford to only run one mindslaver?

If you have the welder, cast intuition, but don't have a ton of mana, they can just give you the slaver, and there are a lot of situations where the plat/trisk/trike won't win you the game where slaver would have.

i only run one mindslaver in my Shay build too.  It's pretty much because you SHOULD be able to control the game until you find a discard outlet for it, or just hardcast it (i also run academy).   I would much rather find other things than a mindslaver off the topdeck.

Morales' Stacker list is really cool---I looked at it and couldn't quite figure out how all the cards were squeezed into sixty slots, but sure enough he has both an aggro army and a prison suite included. With that much artifact mana, I'd be really curious to know why he felt comfortable with Null Rod; to my knowledge no one has pulled off something like that in the past.

While I'm posting, what's your real name, for "Type One Pro Points" purposes?

David Morales always plays non-standard decklists which work very well for him. If I recall correctly, he was the first ranked Spaniard in "Type One Pro Points".
