Following the 'unbanning' of Portal as Vintage is the format where all cards are allowed, Wizards have strongly indicated that apart from ante and the good old manual dexterity cards (Chaos Orb and Falling Star), they are to allow all expansions from October 2005. Remember we can already use such silly cards as Proposal and XXXX World Champion (I forget which year){although I suspect you might get penalised for having a marked card as the only copy is encased in perspex}. From October we will be allowed to use Unglued and Unhinged cards.

Special Announcement Regarding Starter-Level and Unglued Card Sets:
On October 20, 2005 cards from all card sets will become legal for sanctioned play in the Vintage and Legacy formats. This change makes all Magic sets legal for play in the Vintage and Legacy formats. Please refer to the Oracle card reference for the official updated wordings, including card type and creature type, for all these cards.

Obviously, like Portal, most of these cards are weak for constructed decks but cards like

Clearly most of the cards make combo far stronger and it looks likely that Dark Ritual will mave to be restricted as a result.
