Working on the new TheManaDrain theme.

1. I find the blue backdrop that quotes have, annoying.
2. I find the line with the thread title in every post annoying.
3. The top bar of these boards is ugly. I kinda mean the TheManaDrain.com font, and the fact that the old logo's color scheme doesn't make any sense here.

I'm sure you find me annoying, too, but that's just how it is

Update: Lightened the quote background color. Removed the thread title (but I really just blanked it out, does it help?). If the top bar is ugly... design us a new theme .

I made a logo, you can use it if you want. If you don't like it I'm not offended, I'm also open to edits/comments.

Edit: If there's like a standarad banner size I can change it to that.

It looks better when it's smaller because of the resolution of the original scan. I don't know about your browser but in mine it takes up the whole screen while it was only intended for the banner.

Edit: While interesting, I just want to deal with actual forum PROBLEMS in this thread. Feel free to start another "Theme" thread if you would like.

I could convert the new logo (the one on the frontpage & the cafepress coffeemugs etc.)  to the new color scheme, somehow. You know, this one.

I don't have an answer for the "I" in th ebar since I don't know how it works. Is it simply some .gif with a rollover map or something?

I checked this out and I think that banner is totally hot. Once some of the more pressing moderation/post modifying issues are resolved I think this would be a great looking banner.

I think that logo is really awesome Cross, definitely should be the new manadrain logo.

I'll be the first to start a little constructive criticism. Personally, I don't like it that much. I think it would be nicer if the forground text was straight rather than having the "wave" filter applied to it. Also, it's too tall to be useful as a header pic which taked up too much realestate.

That aside, it is pretty cool. Please keep up the good work because when Zherbus comes back, I have a feeling he's going to be looking for a better theme.

Personally I don't like the image cross created.  It looks like a couple of photoshop filters went crazy. Furthermore, the text is difficult to read.  The text needs a solid fill, which would give it more presence, and make it less reliant on the outside glow. 

Bram: The "I" bar is an sliced up image in a table, easy to work with.

If the image is huge on your monitor, and you squint your eyes, and you still can't make it out clearly, it needs to be changed.  In my opinion, simple images seem to be the best and most eye catching when viewed as a grouip of pixels.

Cross, I bet I would really like your image if it was a different medium.
