The green one is way too good, since it can get any nonbasic land. Being three mana also makes it pretty useless for acceleration.

The rest of these are very boring. Sac for shock, raise dead, cantrip, 5 life. They're just big and expensive enough to make it not worthwhile to play them just for their sacrifice effect, but they aren't good enough on their own as creatures, except for the white and maybe the blue one. You might as well give them "when ~this~ goes to the graveyard" triggers, because that's the only time you'll be sacrificing them anyway.

I'll change the green but I don't know why you said they are boring...I knew they were boring.  They are supposed to be boring, but not vanilla.  I just made them thinking limited and MAYBE t2.

It would be even cooler to give the cards a tribal ability.  Instead of sacrifice <this>, sacrifice <this type>

You might have to adjust the costs or activations slightly, but probably not much.

Turning a bunch of saprolings into a bunch of land just seems really fun.

I think these would be most interesting if their stats were modified so that each of them is splashable.
The white one could easily be a 2/4 with that ability for 3W. Life gain is weak, so just modify the numbers a little bit to make it more appropriate for a splashable creature.
The green one could cost 3G and search only for a nonbasic land. It wouldn't matter in Vintage, where the nonbasic lands are duals, but in other formats, that will almost certainly mean getting a land with some sort of drawback. Depending on the numbers the creature possesses, the land may or may not need to come into play tapped. At any rate, at 3G, it isn't going to be obsoleting Sylvan Scrying anytime soon. On a side note, it should probably have creature type of "fungus."
The blue one could probably be 3U and have the same ability. It isn't really all that much better than Merchant of Secrets, which isn't all that great of a card.
For starters, the black one should not break the cycle. It should sacrifice like the rest of them. It isn't like it's going to be better than Gravedigger (although I think it should still be a 2/2 creature)
The red one I like a whole lot. At first, it looks strictly better than Shock Troops, but then I see that it can only hit creatures. I think it's perfect.

In summary, I'll template these with the above changes made so if you like them, you can just cut and paste to the current wording.

Thallid Gardener
3G
Creature -- Fungus
2/2

Sacrifice Thallid Gardener: Search your library for a nonbasic land card, reveal it, and put it into play [tapped]. Then shuffle your library.

Alabaster Order
3W
Creature -- Knight
2/4

Sacrifice Alabaster Order: You gain 5 life.

Carrier Owl
3W
Creature -- Bird
2/2

Flying
Sacrifice Carrier Owl: Draw a card.

Brutish Vandal
3R
Creature -- Barbarian
3/1

Sacrifice Brutish Vandal: Brutish Vandal deals 2 damage to target creature.

Revivicant
3B
Creature -- Zombie
2/2

Sacrifice Revivicant: Return target creature card from your graveyard to your hand.

Did you know that Red is the color or art and music and passion? Combine that with Green, the color of nature, spiritualism, and community and you get a hippie commune of drum circles, dreamcatchers, and recreational drug use. Let's see that win a Pro Tour.

beefed up the creatures and made the mechanics tribal-based for more fun interactions.

A 4/4 elf? A 3/3 flying Wizards that eats wizards? A soldier that sacrifices knights? These don't make a lot of sense anymore.

I actually made that updated post just as Eph was so I did not take into account his ideas.  I see how the tribal abilities could make this too strong and some are not sized correctly (I was trying to get away with more beef).  I think i'm going to go back to something more like what eph said.

Edited original post: I liked eph's slight changes but I didn't like the white and black names.  Also, I'm still unsure about the green one searching for non-basics and it's functionality in limited, but there are a lot of fun non-basics you could pull from TMD's set so I'm thinking it could work and still be desireable.  I could go back and make it any land tapped if that would make it better.

Also, is carrier owl too much like Aven Fisher or Kingfisher?  Or is that fine to do a functional reprint like that.
