It's a simple idea really. This guy prevents anyone from dying from poison.
Protector of ......? 2W Creature -- Cleric Shaman You do not lose the game for having 10 or more poison counters. Your opponents can not win the game due to you having 10 or more poison counters. 0/4
I tried to model it after the Platinum Angel wording, so that's why the Your opponents clause is on there, even though it looks a little strange. I made it 0/4, since it shouldn't die to any removal spell. How would prot"black tacked on to it sound if I added another W to the CC?

That second clause does nothing, unless we make a spectacularly redundant "you win the game if the opponent has X poison counters" enchantment.

Like I said, it's Platy template.

Yeah, but Platinum is worded the way it is so that your opponents can't win with Coalition Victory or Battle of Wits or the like. To avoid poison death, you don't need that part.

I like the idea of a creature with the ability "You do not lose the game for having 10 or more poison counters".

Hmm, that is actually a good point. I'm not sure why I didn't think of it that way. I'll change it around.

I don't know, I think it should be something with vipers, something like Protector of the Shadow Vipers

Actually, that almost sounds like the opposite of what this card is trying to do.

I'm not an expert on this, but Cleric and Shaman are both classes. You need a race. Like Human Cleric or Elf Shaman.

I've kinda been thinking about what this could be named, but it's difficult because your first thought is a healer or somesuch, but in reality you're not being healed of the poison, it's more like your body can just accept and live with the poison. If we first figure out how this ability actually works logically, perhaps then it'd be easier to come up with the flavor and name.

It's indeed more like that you can live with poison because of his chanting or something @Marco: Shaman is a class? I figured it was more like some addendum to what particular kind of Cleric this is. I'm not expert on these things either though.

Did you know that Red is the color or art and music and passion? Combine that with Green, the color of nature, spiritualism, and community and you get a hippie commune of drum circles, dreamcatchers, and recreational drug use. Let's see that win a Pro Tour.

The name is fine, although I'm not sure why it should be an avatar.

Avatar and Elemental seem to be the creature types that fit with creatures that embody the essence of a notion. Elemental definitely covers physical notions, such as water or earth. More abstract notions seem to be split between avatar and elemental. Elemental covers emotions or abstract nouns, such as "war" or "desecration." Avatars, on the other hand, seem to embody states of being (they also embody physical manifestations of a planeswalker's will, but that's not the variety of avatar we're looking at.) Reckless One embodies "goblinhood." Avatar of Might embodies "being strong." This, this creature, in my opinion, embodies "being immune," which makes it an avatar. You could probably make a fairly valid case for "immunity" being an abstract noun, thus making this an elemental. I suppose I wouldn't disapprove of that either.

Check this out. Shaman always appears after a race, such as Goblin, Human, or Elf.
