Just a note to all store owners and players.
I have created a new format in my store that is all the rage here lately. It's called The gladiator League. The rules are simple and alot of fun.
1. Each entry buys four different packs
2. You must build a 40-60 card deck out of it
3. Every game is played for ante
4. If a player wins 10 matches they can buy another pack to add to their collection
5. If a player looses 10 matches they can add another pack
6. Change your deck as often as you like
7. decks are kept in the store to discourage tampering with cards not won or bought for league only.
8. set a time limit ( we do 3 month leagues and shut in leagues (all night one time event))
9. The player with the most cards in their collection at the end wins prizes
10. (basic lands can never be the ante ..ante is decided by cutting opponates deck after shuffle and both cards are removed from play
The players have a blast and you store owners will sell a ton of packs ...( urza's saga and onslaught block are very strong in this .....stock up
