Protective Herd - 3G
Creature - Beast
Sacrifice a creature: Return target creature you control to its owner's hand.

I'm not sure if the ability would be better as a protective bounce (which feels blue to me; I can only find it on 3 creatures, all blue) or a regeneration, which is very very blue. I just got some inspiration and I know the set needs some good aggressive creatures, especially for green.
Current wording: Protective Herd - 3G

Sacrifice a creature: Regenerate target Beast you control.

Fight one beast, fight the herd[/B]
Changes:
1) Changed to regenerate and has to target a Beast. Adopted Dandan's flavor text.

This is really, really powerful. Compare to Ravenous Baloth - it gets -1/-1 in exchange for a MUCH stronger ability and a MUCH easier activation.

Change this to regenerating the creature, and make either the sacrifice or the target have to be a beast.

Making the target a beast but the sacrifice a non-beast is kind of cool. Like it's eating the little guy.

I like the eating concept, but how does that explain a targeted ability at all? This beast teaches other beasts how to eat? Now, if this were an Elf Chef or something, it'd be perfect...

My first impression of the flavour of this card was a herd of buffalo circled around the calves. One of the exterior buffalo may die, but the calves will be safe. You might make it more green in flavour and also counteract the savage tempo loss that this generates by having it be...

Changed, added the flavortext. Potentially makes it much weaker, but a 3/3 for 4 that trades 1 drops for other 4 drops seems strong. I have it at regenerate because it seems more in flavor, but Ephraim's image also provides for regeneration. I can see an animal sacrificing itself to let a young creature heal.

it could easily fit the pack. Doesn't the fact that this sacrifices any creature make it seem like this should be black too? You could make the pack abilities something like this...
Pack 2 - Sacrifice a Beast: Regenerate target Beast.
Pack 3 - Sacrifice a Creature: Regenerate target Beast.
Pack 4 - Sacrifice a Creature: Beasts are indestructible until end of turn.
I was thinking something like...there's more beasts in play meaning they are the dominant "species". They eat all the other "species" in the "habitat" It's like Survival of the Fittest...the real thing...not the card.

I'm not sure how to Pack this up - it certainly fits the flavor of the mechanic. Maybe something like this:

Pack 2: This has sacrifice a creature: Regenerate target Beast you control.

I don't see that adding Pack warrants it. If you put multiple Packs on it you get a large tension between the other abilities and the sacrificing creatures part, which is interesting, but seems sort of suicidal.
