I gave it the current name because I am picturing a spell being shot into a prism and out of it comes several new spells that spread out.

This makes infinite mana with so much stuff. Also, it should only copy instants and sorceries.

I'd like to see the cascade cost be both a mana payment and a discard (maybe 1U and discard a card).

But you would need a color filtering card to finish the combo.  I'm not too worried about 3-card combos.

Cast Dark Ritual. Cast this, targetting Dark Ritual. Cascade once, targetting Ritual. Allow Cascade to resolve. Use the three mana created to Cascade three times. Etc.

Also, copying permanent spells is rather difficult, as mentioned.
