Does anyone remember Clergy of the Holy Nimbus? I thought that had an interesting ability, and I was saddened that no other cards have followed up. So, I decided to complete the cycle (if common, uncommon, rare of the same color are considered a cycle). Anyway:

Knights of the Holy Nimbus
WW
Creature-Knight
First Strike
Whenever Knights of the Holy Nimbus would be destroyed, any opponent may pay 2. If they do not, regenerate Knights of the Holy Nimbus.
2/2

Bishop of the Holy Nimbus
2WW
Creature- Cleric
Whenever a creature you control would be destroyed, any opponent may pay 3. If they do not, regenerate that creature.
1/3

Does anyone like those creatures? Should I add Clergy to this list since he is part of the cycle?

Knight of the Holy Nimbus
1WW
Creature-Knight
First Strike
Whenever Knights of the Holy Nimbus would be destroyed, any opponent may pay 2. If they do not, regenerate Knights of the Holy Nimbus.
2/2

Bishop of the Holy Nimbus
2WWW
Creature- Cleric
Whenever a creature you control would be destroyed, any opponent may pay 3. If they do not, regenerate that creature.
1/3

To answer your cycle question, what you've described is a Vertical cycle, and Wizards do them often.

If Clergy of the Holy Nimbus would be destroyed, regenerate it.
{1}: Clergy of the Holy Nimbus can’t be regenerated this turn. Only any opponent may play this ability.

Since this is the current Oracle wording, it's probably the correct way of doing things. A very interesting cycle, particularly in Limited.

Both of these are insane. The Bishop should probably cost no less than 3WW, or possibly 2WWW.

I think W, 1WW, 2WWW makes for a nice neat cycle, so that's where I would have costed them personally. I also think that the Knight should be singular, not plural, as well (i.e. Knight, not Knights). This cycle looks like Red's worst nightmare, especially the Bishop...

I checked the oracle wording of the clergy, and I think that it is a pretty bad way to word it. The card previously had to be payed for each time it would die, not just once. I also would rather the cost be payed at time of destruction, rather than at the beginning of the turn or somesuch. That's why I would prefer to keep my wording for these two rather than wizard's wording.

As for cost, I was trying to make the knight synonymous with black and white knight, but I shall cost each of these as Godder said.

You could actually try [card]Glittering Lion[/card]'s wording. That would be neat to grant to all your guys (Bishop), though we already have two such creatures so a cycle would be a bit much.
