Woo-hoo, my first post in this forum. Eph makes this place sound soooo friendly whenever he speaks about it, so I've decided to post a few of my old ideas in here. See how they needed to be tweaked and such. This I've thought about for a while. I've always liked Aether Flash and wanted to combine it with a dragon since forever. I've kept it pretty simple just out of principle.
Dual-Mouthed Dragon 3RRR Creature -- Dragon 5/5 Flying Whenever a creature comes into play, Dual-Mouthed Dragon deals 3 damage to it. One mouth feasts upon charred flesh, while the other enjoys crushing the bones.
Current Wording
Dual-Mouthed Dragon 3RRR Creature -- Dragon 5/5 Flying Whenever a creature comes into play, Dual-Mouthed Dragon deals 3 damage to it. One mouth feasts upon charred flesh, while the other enjoys crushing the bones.

I like the idea, but I'm not entirely comfortable with the cost. AEther Flash is not a bad anti-creature card. You've made it stronger (3 damage instead of 2) and you've attached it to a 5/5 body. The question we need to address, then, is whether or not the increase from {R} to {R}{R} merits the improvements. In my opinion, this is a little bit too strong. A huge creature with evasion and a built-in mechanism that prevents an opponent from laying down chump blockers is potent.

I figured Aether Flash saw very little play, though it was effiecent at what it did. For me, the key was the triple mana cost and the fact that it did nothing to creatures in play before he came down. Triple red in the cost means you have to be very dedicated to the color to even play him and his ability comes in handy only against weenie decks.
Mostly I wanted him to compare favorably with other Dragons, but not overshadow any of them.
Rorix Bladewing has 6 power and haste for 3RRR. Thunder Dragon is a 5/5 and deals 3 damage to every non-flier in play (He was in starter) for 5RR. Ryusei, the Falling Star is a 5/5 that deals 5 damage to every non-flier in play when he dies for 5R.
I figured in exchange for not being able to wrath the current board position and the restrictive cost of 3RRR, he would be alright at 5/5. So if you still think he's too powerful at 5/5, would toning him down to a 4/4 be more acceptable then raising his price up to 4RRR?

Very flavourfull, but I think there must be another way of writing the name.... sounds too much like two-headed dragon for my taste.

I understand the objection to this dragon dominating weenies but whenever a dragon comes into play the game is usually decided by whether or not the opponent has a way of dealing with it (creature kill) or a way or killing the opponent (creatures already in play, direct damage, tricky combo). I, for one, have had very few duels where a creature that would snuffed it after taking a bolt came into play and saved the day. Honestly firebreathing, Haste and +1/0 and lots of other good stuff that 6cc red dudes have are far better than the Aether Flash ability of this guy.
I think this is fine at 3RRR.
(note that Red has recently had a number of 5cc creatures that mow down weenies including those already in play)

I think the cost is fine at 3RRR but the name needs to be changed to soemthing better. To me i get the flavor of a dragon whos very territorial so maybe we can base his name and flavor text around the fact that he doesnt want to be bothered....just a thought

Any suggestions for a better name then? I really can't think of any better that properly describe him or what he does.

From your choices, I like Ravenous Hellkite. And I like this card too. I played a lot of casual decks that used Aether Flash back in the day.

I like the territorial concept for a name. The Two-Headed reference is a touch misleading. Something in the pattern of..

I can't say for certain how much attention Vegeta pays to the card creation forum. If he doesn't reclaim this card in a day or so, I'll take over finishing it up for him.
