Wipe From Existence {G}{W} Sorcery Choose a permanent. Remove that permanent from the game. *** I envisioned this card as the ultimate removal spell. It avoids indestructibility, regeneration, protection, untargetability, and can hit any permanent. I made it green and white because green has established itself as the colour of unbiased, but focused destruction (red is the colour of unbiased, unfocused destruction.) White is the colour that deals most with removing things from the game.

Did you know that Red is the color or art and music and passion? Combine that with Green, the color of nature, spiritualism, and community and you get a hippie commune of drum circles, dreamcatchers, and recreational drug use. Let's see that win a Pro Tour.

I wonder if black might be more appropriate than green. Green hasn't had a Desert Twister effect since Mercadian Masques. The last time a card was printed that could act as spot removal on any type of permanent it was Vindicate. This seems reasonable to me because black is a color associated with spot removal and white is the only color that can destroy any type of permanent. Normally, white can only destroy lands by destroying many at once, but black can destroy a single land so it would balance. And while I know that green also gets "destroy target land," it tends to get it only on cards that have a very naturalistic flavor (Frenzied Tilling, Reap and Sow, Creeping Mold, etc.). The same is true of all its spot removal (Oxidize, Naturalize, and even Desert Twister itself). "Wipe From Existence" just seems like a more black way of destroying something.
You might disagree, but it feels more like a black and white card than a white and green one to me.

I considered black as well, with Vindicate in mind. Creeping Mold was precisely the card I was thinking of, however, when I opted to go with green. I certainly see how black/white would also be an appropriate colour pair for this card. I wouldn't mind more opinions on that matter.

4W(B/G) would be balanced and very Ravnica. Can we do that? It is hardly broken at 4WG or 4WB and it would be a rarity that any deck would get the choice.

Doesn't anyone think this is a little powerful? It doesn't target, so it can remove anything, and yet the CC isn't that much more difficult to cast than Desert Twister which only destroys.

Desert twister costs loads of mana because it is green. Compare this with vindicate (1WB) and 4G(W/B) is hardly overpowered anymore...

Ravnica also has another mechanic. This is kind of ugly, but hear me out: 2G Sorcery Remove target permanent from the game if it's an artifact or land. If any was used to pay for this spell, remove it if it's a creature. If any was used to pay for this spell, remove it if it's an enchantment.

Let's wait until those mechanics are official before using them. That way, we can either use them with the knowledge of what Wizards has already done, or if they're fake rumors, we can totally steal those ideas and make dozens of cool new cards.

I'm definitely okay with {G}{W}. It isn't often that I endorse a three-colour spell, but I think that this effect is potent enough to merit that kind of a penalty and since the effect is somehow related to all three colours, I feel it's appropriate.

I like it, although I have a hard time imagining the deck this colored monstrosity would fit in. Or when, for that matter, you'd need to RFG an untargetable permanant.
