So tomorrow I'm moving into my dorm at UConn, and since I just found out I have mono, I kind of want to get back into the game for a little while at least. I know Waterbury is obviously the thing to go to in CT, but is there anywhere else to play (around the Storrs campus, that I could get to on a bus or something)? Is anyone from TMD going to UConn?

Hey

There is a Magic club at UConn, with about twenty or so members. Some of us play Type 1. When I find out more, I can let you know. You can shoot me your AIM in a PM and I can let you know when some of us are getting together to play, since its usually at very random times.

As soon as I pick up my liscense I may head down their occasionally also. FYI, Sam's is in Meriden, CT. It's a bit of a hike (about an hour) from Storrs, but if you're willing to make it we're a good crowd and we'd love the competition. T1 is Thursday nights starting at 7pm, and there's T2 on Friday nights, around the same time. For T1, it's $5 entry fee, and prize is store credit (to be used that evening).

If you're looking something a little closer, there's Omni Cards and Comics in Wethersfield, which has open play for Magic on Tuesday nights from 4:00-8:00. They don't hold many tournaments at all though.

I'd say, definitely try and make it down to Sam's.
