Hello again guys.  As anyone from the northreast could tell you, I haven't been doing any Hadley action since like May or something.  A couple complications in my living arrangements, my job changing a couple times, and some severe car trouble kept me way too busy and too financially strapped to even think about hosting another event.

Until now.

Ray doing Waterbury again has got me reenergized to host type one tournaments again, and the new management for the local store (yes, big frowns Ryan sold it, but) is also very much in support of a regular monthly Hadley once again.

So here is my question to you, I left out a poll for a reason, because I want to hear everything people have to suggest, not just a little number.  Also, I want to see who is suggesting what, no offense to anybody but some of the votes I got on older polls were from extremely flaky people or even foreigners, and I want to make sure whoever responds is someone who's likely to actually be present.

What kind of prize structure do you want to see?
What kind of entry fee gets your motor running?  I've previously done ten dollars with some success, but it does stress me out a bit more, necessitates not paying my judging staff (and instead giving them free entry) and sometimes doesn't allow space for a second or third place prize depending on attendance.
What days this or next month could you realistically attend, and more importantly, bring friends or newcomers?
What's your favorite color?

If I can get some good feedback and come up with an option that makes almost everybody happy, I'll talk to the new management and get a concrete date ironed out.  Much love guys.

1.  Any prize structure from Hadley is amazing (perhaps im biased cause its like 40 minutes from me.)
2.  10-20 I'll pay since Hadley tourneys are amazing.
3.  Fri-Sat or Sunday but with more notice this time, if I recall the last Hadley was called for in like a week and got low attendence.
4.  Any color worn by Ben Kowal obviously.

You have a job? Major Frown!

Although I will probably never come to hadly, I'll try to add some on-topic input other than my first line, since I'm such a good guy!

1.Always make sure you have a piece of power, or a big non-store-credit check. It attracts people. It can be store credit if the store is guaranteed to have some power available.
2.It doesn't really matter what you charge, people will probably show up if it's a well-run tournament and the prize-structure looks well next to the entrance fee. From what I see in the announcement, 15 isn't even a top-price to pay to enter some US-T1-Event, so I would ask 15.
3.None. Unless somebody donates me like 600-700USD, then I'd be willing.
4.There are other colors besides Blue?

I'm sorry to see so few posts in this thread; I assume for the moment at least it's just being overshadowed by the focus on Waterbury.  Although I've only been to one of these, I was very happy with how it was run and with attitudes of most of the players there.  I'd love the opportunity to go to another one of these events, if my schedule allows.

It seems to be the standard these days to have $15 be the fee for entry to local Mox events.  I certainly wouldn't hold it against you if you decided this was the route you wanted to go.  An extra five bucks is not that big of a difference and personally I'd rather invest the extra five upfront to collect a greater prize payout later.

The depth of prize support doesn't seem to matter a whole lot, since more often than not the top 4 end up splitting.  I'd like it better if 2nd-4th got something, even if 3rd/4th was just a refund of the entry.  That way if someone sabotages the split, the others still collect something.

I could probably make it most reliably during the third weekend in August; classes will be out, my gig at the US Attorney's Office won't have started if I don't transfer, and orientation isn't until 8/29 if I do.  I agree with Outlaw that more advance notice were this to happen would probably increase attendance for you, and deter other TO's from scheduling another event on the same day/weekend.

I want to turn your last question into some perverse "To Dave Feinstein" joke, but I'm not going to.

Although it would not get as many people in...I would love to see something like

1: LOA
2: Mana Drain
3: Mana Crypt
4: Mana Crypt
5: Underground Sea
6: Volcanic Island
7: Tropical Island
8: Tundra

as opposed to

1: Mox
2: Something like $50ish
3: Packs
4-8: Slap on the ass...Good job friend, but close only counts in horse shoes and hand gernades.

I think the two structures would cost about the same.

I would pay $10-$15 for this shindig.

I could attend any day short of Gencon weekend or the very last weekend of August.

Red...No Blue...aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrr rrrrrrrrggggggggggggghhhhhhhh hhhh

OMG!

ADAM BOWERS IS COMING BACK!

My life is now complete.

The prize could be a foil Treva's Charm for all I care...I'm going to be there, simply because Adam Bowers will be there.

Did I forget to mention that Adam Bowers hits it with lesbians, like Rafael Palmeiro hits steroids.
Also, didI mention that Dave Feinstein once got eaten whole by Adam Bowers.

Also, Adam don't forget...at the Waterbury following this upcoming one, you have a slot in the Tournament of Champions from your Pre-Europe win.
