Okay so I have some information on the last two days at Gencon (where I am not at, because I quit playing Magic simultaneously with this event.)

Thursday Vintage:

Winner: JDizzle

Deck: My Build of 2 land Belcher (which is a total pirate of Ray's deck with a different sideboard)

Circumstance: Justin didnt have to play very many rounds. I am pretty sure the first time he shuffled his cards was in round three. The bottom line is savagery comes in circumstance. I am almost certain he lost one round to Smmenen but I didnt write it down so I really dont know. All I know for certain is that he won and received 32 packs for his efforts (opened some foil painland, and a bunch of good rares)

Friday Night Top 8 in Worlds Prelim:

Clown of Tresserhorn (SL4V3R)
Fuckin Lou (SL4V3R)
MoxLotus (04TH)
Roland (ST4X)
Kevin Cron (ST4X)
JDizzle (DeathLong)
Some Guy Who Beat Steve M with Fish (Dont know who, it was UW Fish with no wasteland or COTV, heh)
Someone Else

Final: Clown and Fuckin Lou, Colorado Love Fest, Draw and the Bye goes to Clown of Tresserhorn.

Why did you quit?

This thread was supposed to be about gencon, I will post a thread in the basic user/community forums about it, but its basically about balancing life.

Hey.

Would I be correct to assume that was you I talked to during round 1 of the main event.  If so, the conversation went like this.

Me:(seeing someone next to me playing belcher with welders, but yet having blue for a few cards as well) Hey, I am a huge fan of belcher.  After the matches can we talk abit about your build.
You: Well, it is a deck I just net decked and made some changes, mostly to the board.
Me: Oh yeah, where did you netdeck it from?
You: A star city list.
Me: A top 16 deck?
You: Yup.
Me: Was it by some guy named Ray Robillard?
You: I don't know.  Maybe.
Me:(Whispering to someone else around us with a grin on my face) That's my deck.

Jdizzle seems to be playing it too.  I guess it is finally starting to get noticed it.  I need to get off my ass and write that primer before someone steals my thunder.

Also, to stay semi on-topic.  Sad to see you go.  In the little bit we talked you seemed like one hell of a nice guy.  May life bring you all that your heart desires, and feel free to contact me on myspace if you ever need anything.  Maybe you'll come out of retirement just for next years Gencon. ::crosses fingers::

RIP Mogg Fanatic...at least you are still better than Fire Bowman!!!

I was once asked on MWS, what the highest I ever finished at a TMD Open was.  I replied, "I've never played in a Waterbury.  I was then called "A TOTAL NOOB!"

I, for one, am definitely looking forward to that, Smile.

Actually, Ray, you didn't talk to Ben.  He wasn't there.  You talked to someone named Jason Kiernan.  I played him in the 3rd round on Saturday and also made mention that he was playing your build of the deck.
