Gravereaper Dragon     4BB

Creature-Dragon

Flying

1: Remove target creature card in any graveyard from the game.  Gravereaper Dragon gets +1/+1 until end of turn, if that creature was a Dragon it gets +3/+3 instead.

The dragon bonus is so marginal that I don't think it's worth including.

I think this is a decent idea. It's a little bit of graveyard hate mixed with a nice, flying body. I agree with Jacob Orlove that there's very little practical difference between its feeding ability and one that didn't reward you for playing dragons. I'm not sure if it necessarily needs to target the card it's removing. It doesn't make it all that much stronger, since it's too expensive to be commonplace graveyard hate in the first place.

I think you have the numbers right on this. I would just simplify the ability (and make removing the card a cost, rather than an effect -- otherwise this doesn't actually require a creature card to get the bonus). Now that I think about it, this is probably worse than Shivan Dragon, so it probably wouldn't be a problem to give it +2/+2 for each creature you remove, if you wanted to.

{1}, Remove a creature card in a graveyard from the game: Gravereaper Dragon gets +1/+1 (+2/+2?) until end of turn.

It isn't anything new, though. Although it wasn't quite that way when it was printed, the updated wording of Night Soil has the removal of cards as a cost of the ability.

Maybe give it the withered wretch ability instead, so it can remove any card, but only give it a bonus if it removed a creature?

I think giving the dragon +1/+1 counters is more formidable than just eot abilities.  I don't think that makes the Dragon too powerful either.  Let me know what you think.

The countdown has begun.  This thread has been on here for well more than 3 days so I'm starting the 24 Hour clock now.  If any of you have suggestions, questions, comments, or concerns about this card pm me.

I'd like to note that I like this card. Could it be a Ghost Dragon?

Please familiarize yourself with the rules of the forum. You need to start a clock on this before asking me to add it. Also, please PM me with a link to the card and not the wording itself - I need to be able to find these things so I can lock the thread.

Bump. This cards looks more or less finished. Regarding the creature type, if you want it to be a ghost, just make it a spirit. Only a half dozen cards have ever had the creature type ghost and the last one was in Prophecy. In any case, let's get this clocked and added.

Hooray for digging around on the 10th page. I know this card belongs to KDenz81, but I'm starting the 24 Hour Clock.

He started the clock back in february.  It must be using that new math.

This card is cool.  The problem is his current wording in like 5 posts down :S.  I think it should either give counters OR remove any card, but not both.

Your need the clause "if you do" to avoid targeting the same card again and again.

No you don't. Since it targets the card, once it's been removed, all subsequent instances of the ability targeting that card will be countered upon resolution.

I think it should either give counters OR remove any card, but not both.

I disagree. With a mana cost of {4}{B}{B}, this is hardly going to be mainstream graveyard hate. Chances are, it's going to end up in decks that mill their own libraries (like a Necratog deck.) Having a neat side effect to go with its main function of bulking up doesn't seem terrible to me. I also like the flavour that this dragon will eat anything that's dead, even if it prefers things that were once alive.
