I don't drive, but I hate too because I can't get driven anywhere without paying a fortune(Canadian gas is more expensive than american, if that's believable). Anyways, these people hate it too.

hehe, upon reading the title I figured this could be one of two things.  Either a bad tournament experience(gamers aren't necessarily known for their hygiene and I have seen the kinds of food they serve at these places; chili dogs, is this really a good idea?), or what it was really about.

Its down to around a buck here in SW Ontario but I think the days of 75 cents are long gone.

I worked DragonCon a couple weeks ago and witnessed the atrocity of $5.99 per gallon at several gas stations, and many more at $4.39 being drained dry by crazed consumers.
Police were on hand - although not to shut down the price gougers, but to direct customers to the nearest pump.

Back home in Battle Creek, if anyone had tried shenanigans like that arrests would have been made.

It spiked here recently, going from ~$2.40/gal to $2.50 right after Katrina hit...THEN JUMPED AGAIN TO $2.89 THE NEXT DAY.

Damn price gougers!
