Yeah, that's right. There's a weekend without a tournament scheduled, you guys know the drill-- I'm hosting a Hadley on retardedly short notice with a low cost.
This time however, I need to cover my ass. After having a heart attack last time, I decided to get back in to it with a cheaper prize. If this goes well, I'll continue to make my way to the real money stuff.
1st place: Library of Alexandria (signed) 2nd-8th as attendance permits
I need 15 people at 10 bucks each or 10 people at 15 bucks. Considering the prize, I'm definitely keeping it at 10.
I need 10 people to give away the prize. I think I can get 10 people from just the locals, so if we get ANYBODY I'll do my best to add to the prize structure.
WHEN: THIS Saturday, October 1, 12:00 noon WHERE: The Collector's Corner (under new ownership, come meet the awesome new owner Ken!) in the Hadley Mall, found on picturesque Route 9 in Hadley (that's Riverdale Road for those of you who lack numerical knowledge) DOPENESS: Probably only about 11 or so. But it's exponentially increasing for each person who attends.
OTHER NOTES: This tournament will allow 10 proxies. When everybody shows up, it's entirely possible we can increase this number should popular demand say so. Also, this structure is smaller than usual, but I still need a minimum number of people. It's just too stressful to not be sure if I'm going to be even more ass broke than usual. Should we get less than ten people by some catastrophe, I'll find something else of value to give out, like a Mana Drain or a playset of Underground Seas or something.
Sound off if you can make it. People who make plans 36 hours in advance are hardcore, I hear.
EDIT: There won't be deck reg. Deck reg sucks. People hate getting there early enough to fill it out, and a lot of people don't even take it seriously anyway. This doesn't mean you should show up late though.

If I can hitch a ride with either Mike or Chris it is likely that I will attend.

The top 4 included me, Meddling Mage, Travis LaPlante, and someone else. Mike and I both lost in t4, and we left shortly after that.

Things went really well. Hadley will continue to happen as long as I can find open weekends and prize support.
Congrats to Travis Laplante for winning the prize.

I somehow managed to beat Dragon in the swiss to make top 8 with reflection shop, but then got served by it later in top 4, how anti-climactic
