Enduring Ideal
Sorcery 5WW

Oracle text: Search your library for an enchantment card and put it into play. Then shuffle your library.
Epic (For the rest of the game, you can’t play spells. At the beginning of each of your upkeeps, copy this spell except for its epic ability.)

If I play Enduring Ideal (it could happen...) and later, a Meddling Mage or Circu, Dimir Lobotomist causes me to not be able to play Enduring Ideal anymore, do I still get to "Copy this spell" each turn?

I am aware it could be say, countered, but I don't believe I am "Playing" that spell when I copy it each turn. I feel it's wording seems similar to Uyo or Mirari.

Thanks in advance.

Correct, you are not playing the copied Ideals (You can't, remember?) so Meddling Mage or Circu won't stop you.

Correct, you are not playing the copied Ideals (You can't, remember?) so Meddling Mage or Circu won't stop you.

More importantly, both Meddling Mage and Circu, Dimir Lobotimist only prevent you from playing cards.  Copies of cards are not considered cards by the game, and so would not stop you from playing copies.  This is important to remember for things such as Isochron Scepter (which creates a copy of a card that you do, in fact, play).
