Why not run pyrite spellbomb in Chalice Oath over furnace? It seems like a better card choice.
1. It can deal with Meddling Mage
2. Goblin Welder
3. Akroma/Razia(Spirit of the Night) deal 18 damage over two turns. Spellbomb finishes the last 2.
