Willbender {1}{U}
Creature - Wizard [1/2]
Morph 1U (You may play this face down as a 2/2 creature for 3. Turn it face up any time for its morph cost.)
When Willbender is turned face up, change the target of target spell or ability with a single target.

Goblin Welder {R}
Creature - Goblin [1/1]
{Tap}: Choose target artifact a player controls and target artifact card in that player's graveyard. If both targets are still legal as this ability resolves, that player sacrifices the artifact in play, then puts the other artifact from his or her graveyard into play.

Is it possible for Willbender to affect the ability of Goblin Welder since Goblin Welder ability chooses two targets? I am thinking no, but I just want to confirm that.

In war it doesn't really matter who is right, the only thing that matters is who is left.

No, you are correct, the Welder references two targets, and therefore the Willbender can't target the ability.

So in conclusion, creatures are bad. Play blue cards instead.
