Izzet Guildmage, works with Reset?

If you haven't been checking Salvation recently the hot new card from Guildpact (IMO) is Izzet Guildmage
for reference

2R: copy target Sorcery you control with mana cost 2 or less
2U: copy target Instant you control with mana cost 2 or less

The ability allows infinite mana with Reset on your opponents turn (with 4 mana producing lands and 5 mana) and it also may provide excellent advantages with search for combo pieces (brainstorm and the like), and winning counter wars over the win card if you want to use Drain or leak.  This card interaction may or may not be a stronger option in Legacy but it seems like it would be potentially powerful enough in this format (not quite so fast as dragon or long but still 2 card infinite mana is ussually pretty strong especially in mono blue)
