"And yes WE ALL SIDE THEM GAME 2 djeez..." Then what was the point or arguing pretty much AT me that negator is good against aggro if you infact side them out? O_O I happen to comprehend magic more than you could possibly know. My whole comment about early negators was well...pretty self explanatory..you want Negator as early as possible, its a rule of thumb..early off they should have less creatures than say..playing him turn 5 Lawlzzz Casting Negator should not intimidate any remotely decent aggro player, not should it force them to play differently O_O
You state that magic evolves...so let me ask you this..what Aggro decks (that you will ACTUALLY see in a tournament) is Negator possibly effective against? I think thats the question that should have been asked right off the bat-because it clearly seems I am playing magic at a whole level above you guys...I mean WW -_- You have got to be kidding me.
Anyways, yep DSC, sir fat-alot seems like hed work, and Confidant works sweet with Vamp, Imp Seal, Mystical etc to get that Tinker and get the big man into play quick as possible.

None of us ever said negator was like "a silver bullet against aggro" ...obviosly he is better against Combo/Control (rather slow against combo, though) The point is that casting a negator against an aggro player isnt an "Auto-scoop", seriosly!
I've played this guy against goblins, sligh-style decks, stompy...suicide-ish decks. (Yeah i know most of them arent played anymore) and i've won several games with negator....just dont play it out blindly turn 1.
And yeah, everyone obviosly sides him out game 2 .

Why don't you continue my sentence sir? Why are you constantly twisting words. My conclusion was the negator is playable against aggro but it is unplayable against any direct damage. In combat he stand ground.

One of the reasons why Iserholm deck runs stiffle is to protect the 3 colors against wasteland and counter fetching.

Notably, that deck also *relied* on access to all three colors.

Update: my results may not be MWS anomalies! Both opponents seem to be *very* solid players.
I've managed to find actually games against actual TMDers.
One match against Yespuhyren playing Uba Stax (with Tange Wire).
Game 1: I play an early Kataki, he answers with Tolarian and starts playing lock components through disruption. I lose.
Game 2: I play an early Kataki, he fails to find a red source while I Wasteland his Workshops. I win.
Game 3: He plays a turn 1 Smokestack, I respond with Kataki. He ramps the stack: I sack a mox, and then the Kataki and a Confidant to keep my two lands. I lay a U source and play Energy flux. I win.
One match against Dozer playing Gifts.
Game 1: I Waste and Strip his early mana sources. He fails to draw another one in time to save him. I win.
Game 2: I protect two key mages with Absolute Law. One of which is stolen with Vedalken Shackles underneath an Engineered Plague. Unfortunately for him, both name his win conditions. I'm at 16. He has 16 cards left (I have 32). But I have an Active Vial. His library is mostly lands and Brainstorms. No business spells. I win. (His Colossus got nerfed much earlier with a 2x StP)
Game 3: A lot like game 2. Null Rod stops Will, Mage stops Tinker. I win.

What cards did you side out in your match up versus Gifts?

Game 2:
Out: 4 Null Rod 2 Seal of Cleansing 2 Engineered Explosives 3 Kataki War's Wage (He's a subpar speedbump against Gifts pilotted by a good player.)
In: 4 Aether Vial 4 Gilded Drake 3 Absolute Law (Burning Wish -> Pyroclasm sucks...)
He played Engineered Plague (naming Wizards) during that game and I realized that I'd basically have no game against him if he could get 2 into play. Stopping quick plays off Moxen became a priority, as did putting back in my enchantment removal. Explosives for 3 was too unwieldy to be left in.
Game 3: Differences between Game 2 and Game 3 in ( ).
Out: 2 Duress (probably a bad choice...oops) 4 Aether Vial
In: 2 Seal of Cleansing 4 Null Rod
