Maybe someone can help me out here (as someone who hasn't opened/bought packs in years) what is in a starter deck? what are the chances of pulling power in a starter deck?

Starter decks are like larger packs. They come with an increased number of rares (3 I think), commons and uncommons along with basic land. I think 75 cards in total.

there is also always the chance that pre ice age packs and starters were searched and re-sealed after the goods got removed.

Unlimited starters have 2 rares and 9 uncommons,I believe.

Hopefully someone minded to crack them immediately will win it...

Hopefully the winner will pull a Lotus and a Time Walk or something right then and there.  I've had that deck for seven years and couldn't bring myself to open it.  I also have an unopened Beta Starter and unlimited versions of the power nine that I will offer in future tournaments if this one is a success.  This is WAY more fun than just selling everything on ebay.
