Read Hi-Val's report. Interested in weldable wish, checked out oracle text, found this: (numbered for easier reference)
1. Oct 4, 2004 - In non-tournament play, it can give you any appropriate card you own which is not in the game. 2. Oct 4, 2004 - In tournament play, it can give you any appropriate card removed from the game, or any card in your sideboard. 3. Oct 4, 2004 - Can't acquire cards that are phased out. Those cards are in the Phased Out zone and not in the Removed from Game zone. 4. Oct 4, 2004 - Can acquire cards which are removed from the game by other cards. Such cards are in the "removed from game" zone. 5. Oct 4, 2004 - Can't acquire the Ante cards. They are considered still "in the game" as are cards in the library and the graveyard. 6. Oct 4, 2004 - The ability is a replacement ability. It modifies your next draw. See also: Burning Wish, Cunning Wish, Death Wish, Golden Wish, Living Wish, Ring of Ma'Ruf
Don't rule 2 and 4 contradict each other? Or does the world "appropriate" cover this overlap? What is the "appropriate" meaning anyway? Does it only refer to cards sided out? Can you (stupidly) grab x.wish once it is used and in the RFG zone?
Thanks in advance.
