Seems the Announcement forum has reverted to "no-one able to respond if they live outside New England" mode.  Can we fix it?

Kind of hard to get replies to "Who's coming?" if the permissions don't allow most people to respond.

Um, I'm outside of New England and I definitely just responded to your thread here.

How would the server know who's from NE anyway?

Basic users haven't been allowed to post in the Announcements forum for years now. Threads would just get clogged with spam.
