Flame Fusillade reads: Until end of turn, permanents you control gain " : This permanent deals 1 damage to target creature or player." Can you tap an Aura to do 1 damage to a player or creature and how does that affect the aura if at all or the creature it is affecting?

I don't see why not. Enchantments CAN be tapped, but it is not normal for them to do so. Orb of Dreams makes enchantments come into play tapped. So the aura has an activated ability that happens to include tapping the enchantment -- nothing has been printed that way, but hey, why not?
Auras that are tapped function no differently from tapped ones (cf. Orb of Dreams).

I figured as much and have been playing it as such but I wanted to be sure. Thanks.

I can unconditionally confirm this. I have played Flame Fusillade numerous times and creature enchantments have contributed more than their share of direct damage. Enchantments are permanents just like artifacts, creatures, and lands, and can be tapped through Orb as well as via Ice, although tapping does nothing to affect their normal enchanting function.

As a note, you can attack with the creature that is enchanted, and still tap the enchantment for the fusilade post combat.

So in conclusion, creatures are bad. Play blue cards instead. -Dr. Sylvan

Same goes for equipment attached to creatures as well.

I assumed it worked, my main concern was what tapping would do to auras and the like.

Nothing at all, unless they're also somehow creatures.

Then they couldn't be attached though.

Yeah, that too. I wouldn't be surprised if there were some way of keeping the things around though in the arcane rules of Magic.

For the tenth time in the rules forum (at least), here is tangle wire's text: "At the beginning of each player’s upkeep, that player taps an untapped artifact, creature, or land he or she controls for each fade counter on Tangle Wire." Note the suspicious lack of the word enchantment there. So...no...

If it's an animated enchantment (Opalescence, or still Life for example), then yes. Otherwise no.
