I'm in the middle of unloading some of my stuff on ebay, and I've been getting several questions regarding what I want for one of my auctions. The auction in question is for a Mint Foil German Goblin Welder. The problem is I don't know what its really worth. Does anyone out there know about what I should sell it for, or just let the auction end on its own and see what it goes for?

From what I have seen foil welders can fetch up to $75 on Ebay here and there.   Though that's the most I ever saw one go for.   Bein as it's foreign it will vary depending on if you get a person who likes foreign stuff also.    That's really a toss up though I would expect about $45 minimum for one if I sold mine.

English foil Welders are about $80, so I'd put the German one about $90-100.

I would have to agree with what JD said.
German Foil welders are actually very hard to come by and look damn sexy, so good luck getting a good price on it.

I wouldn't be surprised that you can get that much for one.  I don't think you can get that much on the open market, as the number of people who would pay that much for one is going to be fairly low.  Given the right buyer, I wouldn't be surprised at all if you could get $100-150 for it, but you'll need to find the right buyer.

Japanese Welders are around $350 these days, so $120 might not be that outrageous for German ones.

I had no idea! I would waaayyyy rather have a mox than one foil Japanese welder. this seems so ridiculous, believable but totally insane, T1 collectors are nuts (myself included I guess, but wow the lengths some will go too).

Im not sure where I saw it (somewhere on here though I believe about a set of welders on ebay) but somebody came up with a figure telling us that Foil Japanese Welders are about on par rarity-wise as unlimited moxen, so the price seems fair from a collectability stand-point...when you couple that with the fact that people are going to want FOUR of those matching welders then you might get an idea as to why they are so much. I agree with Samite from that thread though in that I think the portuguese ones are sexier.

Japanese Foil Welders being worth more than Moxen seems ridiculous until you realize that there are far more Moxen then there are Japanese Foil Welders in the world. Just check e-bay.

Not everyone speaks Japanese like JD.  This makes it harder for people to get in contact with those who have the Welders.

Anyone who makes you an offer via Ebay PM is most likely offering less than it will end for; trust me.  Just let it end normally and you'll probably get a LOT more.
