I've got a playset of Mindmoils lying around and I can't find any use what so ever for them.
For those of you who do not know what Mindmoil does here it is:

Mindmoil
4R
Enchantment
Whenever you play a spell, put the cards in your hand on the bottom of your library in any order, then draw that many cards.

So far the only real uses I've found for this card are to use it with Niv-Mizzet, or Donate it to your opponent and play Underworld Dreams.

Other than that thought I've found no use, has anyone managed to do anything with it?

There are some decks going around that use [card]Mindmoil[/card] in combination with [card]Early Harvest[/card] and [card]Heartbeat of Spring[/card] to cicle through the deck generating a huge amount of mana and then kill with [card]Blaze[/card].

Oooh, I'd never thought of that, the only problem I tend to have found with Mindmoil is that it has a habit of doing pretty much nothing, and I often end up cycling away something I actually need.

This card costs 5, offers no resource advantage and random card selection.  Please close this.

Or at least move it to the casual forum.

If your ever seriously considering a deck that runs Niv Mizzet... just get it over with and run Curiostiy as your wincondition.

Who said anything about building a deck that runs Niv-Mizzet? Razz
When I posted this thread I simply wanted to know if anyone has had any luck with this card yet....

If they had, they probably would have started one of two threads:
-A thread with this title, except useful information, including results from testing the card, as opposed to making a request for how to make good of your $0.80 play set.
-A thread with the title of a deck that uses the card in Vintage.

To answer your question, no, I haven't had any luck with this card in any format.
