I've decided due to severe issues with ICBM to resign from them (funny isn't it, since I created the team?).   Due to this, I've decided to completely quit playing Vintage.   It's just not fun to me anymore.  My own 'teammates' don't test nearly enough.  Truth is, NONE Of them really test.  SO I'm forced to test online through Workstation.  Apparently this is majorly frowned upon.  Oh well.  I don't care.

Anyways, to the MANY of you I've met, like or dislike, I say my goodbye.  I enjoy this game and it pains me GREATLY to say goodbye, but it's for the best.   I need to start focusing more on things that make me happy, and not this political garbage.

so to the GWSers, local Milwaukee Guys, the Ogre Guys, the guys I played with in Appleton and Eau Claire, the guys I met across the country in Rochester.  The meandeck guys,  Travis Laplante, Rich, Ray Robilard (I appologize for never making Waterbury), and the guys I met on the SCG Boards as well as here, I say goodbye.  You all are great people.  I owe a lot to everyone in this great community.  So Goodbye kids!
-Soly

UPDATE:
I've decided not to quit the format i love (based on the few comments, basically eric and orlove's) but as of now, until things change with ICBM, I will be resigning from that team.

Yes,Tarmogoyf is probably better than Chameleon Colossus, but comparing it to Tarmogoyf is like comparing your girlfriend to Carmen Electra - one's versatile and reliable, the other's just big and cheap.(And you'd run both if you could get away with)

vintage.  I will still be playing with my friends, but no longer competively.  I will be keeping my cardboard.

I don't believe it.  I believe that you have the same disease Cher has.  You'll be back.  It sounds as if you are not happy with your playtesting arrangement, that is hardly a reason to quit Vintage, but I guess that's ultimitely your choice.  :/

At any rate, MWS testing is a perfectly fine supplemental tool to real life practice.  If MWS lets you test at times when you would otherwise not be testing at all, then that alone makes it worth it.  It is free after all.  MWS is a really powerful tool for learning decks and recognizing deck patterns, to borrow a recent term from smmenen.

Until later...

Salad,

You've always been a blast to hang out with at tournaments and I always look forward to seeing you there. I have no idea what I am going to do for deck ideas now since I took your ideas and ran with them (for all those that don't know, he had the idea for both IT and URBana fish). You will be missed.

I can't say I'm really surprised by your announcement, since I could tell you'd lost your enjoyment in the game. In your recent post you had been clearly venting your frustration from other aspects of your life as well, which I hope you can solve now that you've taken the first step. If you ever need anybody to talk to give me a call or catch me on AIM.

You'll be missed. Good luck, and don't forget to stop by the community forums once in a while.
