Rock on.  I was just wondering today when the next one would be announced.

I must be psychic.

The commute to this event is a little far for me....it's about 7000 miles, which is a little farther than I used to drive for events.

Does it happen to be the case that someone from the Chicago area is going to be attending this and willing to bring me along?

I think myself and Jason are gonna make it down for this one. We are not judging States, and I said if there was a Mox Event the same day we should go to it instead. Smile

Should be a good time. It always is down there.

"JDizzle" - Finally, we get along on our merry way.  Somewhere after that, Chad called me to complain about my driving…from 200 miles away.  His call made me dig for the phone, because finding it myself was going to be far more exciting than letting Reb do it for me, which caused the car to swerve a bit.  In retrospect, I guess Chad was right.  At that exact moment he called, my driving was, in fact, awful.  I really hate it when he’s right.

I have 3 options.  Hike SIX HOURS and pay 25 dollars to play two states over (well, one south and one east), or I could go drive like 3 1/2 hours and play in a pizza joint.   Or, the always present option 3 of, well... not playing magical cards on the weekend.  We'll see what happens.

Not many people seemed interested in this tournament, so we cancelled it to prevent the store from losing money and to avoid angry players driving 2-3 hours for nothing.

I don't know if I will be able to host torunaments at this venue anymore.  They aren't making any money off T1 tournies and I think they're going to just host Yui-Gi-Oh (or however its spelled) tournies from now on since people come to those.

Maybe you guys shouldn't decide to hold your events on the same day as major magic events. Kinda like States. Just something to think about.
