Ok, here is a weird question.

How do you frame (like picture frame) the 6 x 9 w/o mangling them. I just bought an oversized LOA for my wall and I want to frame it myself. Does anyone have any experience? Is this something best left to a professional? Your answers will greatly affect how many more oversized cards I buy because LOA is my favoarite and will be put on my wall no matter what. However, it may be the only one if it winds up costing me $50 to have it professionally framed.

Thanks,
JK

I have been using these for my oversized and power.  They look nice (Especially with the black borders).  Because it's a little bigger than the card, I go to my local craft store and find a really nice patterned paper in the scrapbooking station.  I cut it to size, and then place the card over it.  I find that buying the granite color matching your wall, or buying a black/grey shale one looks nice.  It also has a little hole on the back where you can hang it on a screw, portrait or landscape.  I also bought the 9 card one they have, and plan to hang my P9 in it as I collect it.  It protects it, and looks nice.

Oh, and as for paying $50 for framing, thats nothing.  I took a 5'X3' Transformers litho into Michael's to get a framing quote, and they quoted me $300, and that was using a 50% off coupon!

hope that helps,

Cool, Thanks. Now here is the stupid question where and how does your scrap book paper go into that frame/holder. Do you use any matting?

You can get custom sized mats for not too much (less than $10) if you are interested in that sort of thing.

As Yare said, you can buy custom sized mats for cheap.  What I was describing was using the paper instead of the matting.  Cut the paper so its 8X10.  Then place the card right in the center and carefully screw it down.  This creates a sort of reverse mat, where the card is on top of the border.  It also allows you to see the shape of the card and its black border.
