When Stalwart Paladin blocks a red creature, it loses defender and has “Whenever this creature deals damage, you gain that much life”. (This effect doesn’t end at end of turn.)

I'm having a hard time getting a grasp on the power level, but I'm inclined to say that it's probably within this side of not broken.  I like cards like these, that just seem fun to play with.
