Dear all,

The tournament that I've just opened will be my last occasion running 3 card blind for the forseeable future.

However, this is not because 3CB is stopping - far from it! After this tournament, I will be handing over to Godder for him to take over 3CB. I will be launching the first 4 Card Blind tournament on TMD shortly afterwards!

The way that it will work is as follows: I am leaving to take the best part of a month's holiday on Monday 24th July, getting back on 19th August (and probably online a day or two after that). Because of that, I'll publish the results of the next 3CB tournament next Sunday rather than on the Monday as usual. After that, Godder will take over 3CB, and can publish the results on whatever day of the week suits him. Once I get back, I'll start running 4CB on alternate fortnights, so each week there'll be a different set of tournament results going up on the message boards! Now that 3CB has grown back to such a good size, I'm hoping that there will be enough interest in similar formats to warrant running 4CB - I'll do a trial run for a few weeks to see how much interest there is, and if there's enough (as I'm sure there will be!) we'll keep going with this!

Thanks to all for having kept going with these tournaments throughout the last year or so (or more, back when wonkey_donkey ran them), and hopefully we can make the next 3CB tournament the biggest ever! If memory serves, the biggest was about 28 - easy!

Thanks,
Adam

Woo!  Thanks for continuing to run these things; they're crazy fun.

I had a lot of fun doing the results of the one 3CB I have done, and I have a couple of ideas for shifting the format around a little, such as changing the Ban list here and there. I would also like to try running leagues/Grand Prix style points, to see who the most awesome of us is Wink.

What about legalizing Portal?

I figure it's all covered by the "no turn 1 goldfish decks" clause, so I intend to allow Portal once I start running 3CB (for 4CB, Combo_Dude will still have the final say).

Edit: The best time for me to calculate the results for these is while I'm at work, so I will likely post the results on Sunday NZT. For Americans, that will be Saturday, and for Europeans, very early Sunday morning. That's about 1.5 days earlier than Combo_Dude was posting results since he does them on Monday GMT.

Also, Jacob has agreed to offer up the Custom Title "3CB champion" or something similar for whoever won the most recent edition. Although I didn't think to ask, I can't imagine it being a problem to have a similar Custom Title for 4CB.
