Winner receives a BLACK LOTUS!!!

Saturday, July 15, 2006.  1pm.  20$

The proxy limit has been upped to 15!

Monster Den
1815 East 41st Street
Minneapolis MN
55407
612-724-4543

A quote from an email I received recently:
Quote
For those of you who have not heard, I bought the Monster Den about a month ago. The amount of space that is there is perfect for holding a big tournament like this. We will be moving the monthly tournaments from Dreamers to the Monster Den starting in July with the Black Lotus Tournament. I will still be the one running the tournament.
We will see all of you this Sunday at Dreamers.
Email me if you have any questions regarding this.

This MIGHT* be a bad day as you will lose some of your support.  I Cannot say for certain that Milwaukee guys would be going for sure anyways, but the 15th is demars full power tournament in Michigan.

I think they're far enough apart from each other so that it isn't an issue.  We should still get plenty of people to cover the lotus.

This event also marks a new precedent by moving the monthly tournament from Dreamers (second Sunday of the month) to the Monster Den and the third Saturday of every month.  Shooting for consistency here.

I didn't mention it above, but there will likely be additional prizes in the form of store credit/cash? depending on the tournout.  At least that's how Jason ran his previous tournaments.

So lets make this thing huge!!

The Michigan one is a no go for me due to work on that Sunday, but it's very tempting to attend this.  I might head out there for it if I can find others willing to make the trip.

These tournaments are well-run.  I had the pleasure of meeting Jason some time ago, and he was a nice individual who ran his power tournaments well, with a guarenteed prize every month.  The quality of participants in this area is high.  I would not hesitate to take a day or two to make the trip for this tournament.

A quick note:

There is some road construction taking place that Saturday on Cedar Ave (77) so if you can take a different route to get there that would be good. I believe the road construction is happening between 46th and 62.

Those of you coming from the south should pay attention to this.  Those of you coming from Wisconsin, West of MN, or basically from interstate 94 should just take the 234C exit  (Cedar Ave exit.)  Turn south, follow the winding road a short bit, and then take a right on Cedar.  (you have to jump on and off Minnehaha briefly)  Follow this south until you see the Monster Den on the right.  You can't miss it.  Some people had some questions, so be sure you don't get lost.

Rumor has it from several sources that members from several local Midwest teams will be there.  This should be awesome.
