[Results, Lists and Pics] Sports Zone: Cary, NC for a Mox Jet 8/27/06

Location: Cary, NC at the Sports Zone: Sunday, August 27th, 2006

We had about 20 people show up for this tournament. Everything went pretty smoothly and we finally got some software to do pairings, which is always a plus. The tournament began at about 1:30 pm and ended at 9 pm.

The metagame break down was:

There was a cut to a top 4, which was as follows:

1. Cody Vinci with Drain Tendrils (4-0-1)
2. Cullen Cox with Hide and Seek Control (3-0-2)
3. Chris Coppola with Gifts (3-1-1)
4. EJ Walsh with GrimLong (3-1-1)

The top 4 split with Cullen getting the Mox Jet (in pretty sweet condition) and the other 3 getting $90 each. 2nd place also got some store credit, which was randomized and Cullen won!

I was the one who gave the Misdirection ruling.  Yes, don't ask about players judging. :/  For the curious, the question was over whether a person could Misdirect a spell (in this case Mana Drain) to itself.
