What if this event gets less than 41 people?  What do prizes look like then?  I don't expect this to break beyond 30-35, and if that's the case I'd like to know how reduced prizes would be before I commit to traveling 2 hours to attend this event.

Bearing in mind that SCG Boston is taking place simultaneously, I'd be very surprised if this event reached its target attendance.

I didn't even realize this was the same weekend as SCG Boston...there's no way they get 40 people.  I'd be surprised if they get even half that.

To whoever is in charge of this event, if you're reading this I implore you to move the date of the event.  You'll get your desired attendance if you're not conflicting with the biggest non-waterbury T1 event to ever hit New England.  I enjoy this store very much and had a blast at its Legacy opening tournament.  I would hate to miss its first vintage event, but if the date is kept the way it is then there's no way I'll be making the trip, nor the very likely full car of friends who would come with me.  I'm sure I won't be the only carload of people that opts to go to SCG over this.

If possible, just move the date of this event.  You'll be doing everyone who wants to see this tourney succeed (including yourself) a big favor.

I just received word that this event is being moved because of SCG Boston.

The new date is Sunday September 24, 2006.

Howie has personally guaranteed that even if there is less than 20 people for some unusal reason, he will still give away at least a NEAR MINT LIBRARY OF ALEXANDRIA.  Even if 2 people show up he plans on giving away the LOA.

His main interest is to build up a player base and get regularly running vintage events.

I know I will be there...who else is going to go?

P.S.- JOrlove...can you edit the original post to reflect the new date.  Thanks, Ray.

RIP Mogg Fanatic...at least you are still better than Fire Bowman!!!

I was once asked on MWS, what the highest I ever finished at a TMD Open was.  I replied, "I've never played in a Waterbury.  I was then called "A TOTAL NOOB!"
