At long last Vintage Magic is coming to scenic Sandusky, OH!

WotC Floor Rules and Type I banned/restricted rules apply.

1st - 4 Volcanic Island and $25 Store Credit
2nd - 4 Steam Vents and $25 Store Credit
3rd - $25 Store Credit
4th - $25 Store Credit

We're really trying to get a Vintage scene in Sandusky, and this should be a great tournament to get Vintage beginners interested. (This also means it could be easy pickings for skilled players).  With a good turnout at this tournament, we can have more tournaments more often, and next time we'll have prizes more appropriate for Vintage (I promise).  It's a reasonable driving distance from Cleveland, Columbus, and Michigan, and the store has a huge selection of cards and a large, clean, comfortable gaming area.  Plus, this tournament will be part of the Hero Zone's grand re-opening as the Gamers Lounge, which means there will be drawings and door prizes all day long!

I just wanted to point out that this tournament is now a month away.  Plus, from Sandusky, it's only a hop, skip and a jump (about an hour and a half) to the RIW event in Michigan on the 24th.

The Gamers Lounge is really hoping that the lower entry fee, unlimited proxies, and prize structure will bring some of the local Standard and Extended players into the Vintage arena.  Then after a good turnout here, they will host tournaments more often and with better Vintage prizes in the future.  So even if you can't come, tell your friends!

We're down to a week away on this, and from what I hear, we should have a pretty decent turnout and some quality competition.

The store is accessible from Rtes. 4, 6, 2, 250 and the turnpike in the historic waterfront district of Sandusky, so if you see signs for the ferry or the  waterfront, you're on the right track.  There's lots of food and lodging on 250 and off 4, and across the street from the store is a pretty good burger bar that usually has a band on Saturday nights.
