Fungal Growth
GGG
Creature - Plant
When ~this~ is put into a graveyard from play, you may discard a card from your hand. If you do, put 2 0/1 Plant tokens into play with this ability.

You know what irks me the most?
That MaRo had the audacity to taint the good name of the Rakdos by including a justification for HoFLong in their article.

Giving this a bump as the only discussion it generated was on IRC. The discard ability was added to make it noninfinite, as well as to be a drawback.

Hmm.. a 1/1 for GG that when it dies, you lose a card and get two 1/1s?
If you look at the Symbiotics from Onslaught, they're all roughly costed at about {2} more than the creature alone, and you get N 1/1 tokens when it dies, where N is the creature's initial P/T. {2} more than {G} {G} is just under {G} for which you should get a 1/1 with no abilties. So, for comparison:

Not Jeek's Toadstool
{G} {G}
Creature - Plant
When Not Jeek's Toadstool is put into a graveyard from play, put a 1/1 green Fungus token into play.
1/1

So if you discard a card, you get an extra 1/1 token? At one card being worth roughly two mana, and two mana usually gets you more than just a 1/1, isn't that a bit low? Maybe give the base creature and the tokens some ability, even if it's "Sacrifice this creature: Regenerate target creature."

The discard isn't optional, which I see as a drawback.

I just dont see why people would play it.
you lose 2 cards to get 2 1/1s..
there are so many better cards which give more card advantage.

Yes,Tarmogoyf is probably better than Chameleon Colossus, but comparing it to Tarmogoyf is like comparing your girlfriend to Carmen Electra - one's versatile and reliable, the other's just big and cheap.(And you'd run both if you could get away with)

You use your first card to get a 1/1, then every card after that gives you 2 1/1s.

Not every card has to be a bomb. This also has possible combo potential with Fecundity and some sac outlet.
