Ensnared Golem

Arifact -- Golem
Whenever you play a spell, if Ensnared Golem is not a creature, Ensnared Golem becomes an X/X artifact creature with "Ensnared Golem cannot attack or block unless you have X or more cards in hand." until end of turn, where X is that spell's converted mana cost.

This is one of the cards I submitted to the Design Challenge.

So to get a 'fair' creature you need to pay 5 then cast another spell which costs 4 and even then your mighty 4/4 won't do much unless you have 4 or more cards in hand. Even best case, you play this, your newbie opponent fears the Gleemax kill and counters it and you FoW, you are just down 3 cards so probably won't be able to block anyway.

Intesting mechanic but if you wanted a cheap fattie would you choose this or Spiritmonger (hell, even Orgg, Dandan likes Orggs).

CC can easily go down to 4. Even if you played it on turn 4 and then cast a 5cc spell on turn 5, you still need a minimum of 5 cards in hand to get the damned thing to get off its steely backside.

Note that if you removed the 'if Ensnared Golem is not a creature' clause, you would have a VERY interesting creature.

I added the "if Ensnared Golem is not a creature" clause to prevent that. That clause can probably be removed.

If you remove the clause, the card at least becomes playable.
